Hello Everyone,
We hope you're all doing well and staying safe in light of this crisis. As organizers we're trying to figure out the best way to stay connected moving forward and have discussed possible shared movie viewing (from our respective homes of course) and an online discussion afterwards. Please let us know if you'd be interested or if you have any ideas.
As talk of fundamental change to our healthcare system (best case scenario) grows in light of this virus, it is vital that reproductive rights are not excluded. Already, anti-choice politicians have been using this outbreak as an excuse for shutting down abortion clinics and halting access. Despite these anti-choice efforts, abortion providers on the front line are keeping their doors open and clinic escorts continue to risk their health to help those seeking necessary health care.
Although it may seem that there's not much we can do while our communities are on lock down, we must stay informed and voice our dissent when politicians try to take away our rights, especially when they threaten the most vulnerable and marginalized among us. This is a pivotal moment in our healthcare system's history so please take a moment to inform yourself and, if possible, take action by contacting your representatives to voice your concern.
