Bundles of Plywood Outside Menards
Title
Bundles of Plywood Outside Menards
Description
This is the Menards store on Robert Street in West St Paul, taken around 2 weeks after the murder of George Floyd, which sparked many days of unrest in the Twin Cities. It was common during this time for businesses to board up their windows with plywood to prevent destruction and looting (or, less often, to replace broken windows), and big-box hardware stores like Menards had large stocks of plywood on hand.
