Buffalo Wild Wings Early in the Pandemic Lockdown
Title
Buffalo Wild Wings Early in the Pandemic Lockdown
Description
I took this photograph on March 17, 2020 in Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant on Snelling Avenue about 3 blocks north of campus. For reference, the previous day, March 16, Governor Walz issued Executive Order 20-04 "ordering the closure of bars, restaurants, and other places of public accommodation." That same day, March 16, President Brian Rosenberg announced that all classes at Macalester would be held remotely for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester. March 17 is St Patrick's Day and usually a busy day at drinking establishments like "B-dubs" -- plus with all the basketball tournaments happening, it is usually quite busy this time of year. So the emptiness of the place was quite eerie.
