Saint Paul Police Department Western District Building

Title

Saint Paul Police Department Western District Building

Description

I took this photograph of the St Paul Police Department Western District during the trial of former Minneapolis police office Derek Chauvin, who was charged with murdering George Floyd. He was convicted on April 20, 2021, about 2 weeks after this photo was taken. During the trial, many government and police buildings were fortified with concrete barriers, fencing, and razor wire, as you see here. This police station is on Hamline Avenue right across from the Midway Target. As of the date of this post (5/3/2021) all the fortifications remain in place around the Western District station.
