Two Minutes Project Overview

Title

Two Minutes Project Overview

Description

Inspired by a conversation between Dr. Beth Cleary and Johanna Lorbach, the Theater and Dance 2 minutes project took place from April 1st to May 6th. Each day except Sundays, a member of the THDA community shared a 2-minute video with the rest of the community. A total of 31 videos were made by faculty, staff and students. Some of them have been submitted to the archive and are tagged THDA 2-minutes.

A description of the guidelines set out by Johanna, the department coordinator, who solicited volunteers on March 31st by email, as well as a short description of the intent is included as "text"

Text

Record a short (two-minute limit) video to send the THDA community. You could read a poem that has been on your mind, play a tune, share the result of a new recipe, or whatever inspires you!

- By the day before your assigned date, send your video to Johanna. Zoom recording in the cloud or a file on Google Drive are the easiest, but it can be whatever format with which you are most familiar.

Each day at noon (except Sundays - we still need radio silence, after all), Johanna will send an email to the department: majors, minors, student staff, faculty, and staff.

Have fun, and thanks for participating!

---

Not only could this be a fun way to learn something new about each other, I hope it would remind us all of the special community we have here. There is of course no pressure to participate in this, and please don't do it if it will add any additional stress. Also, don't think too hard about it. As I've experienced often these past couple of weeks, stumbles, disruptions, and awkward moments can bring us closer together as humans. So let's embrace it!
