The screenshot shows two nested tweets. The original reads, "IF THE COLLEGE DOESN'T ASK FOR CONSENT FOR PHOTOS, WHY SHOULD WE TRUST THEM TO MANAGE CONSENT FOR ANYTHING ELSE? #HEYMAC." The second tweet, replying to the first, reads "LESTER HAS EFFECTIVELY CYBERBULLIED M*CALESTER INTO TAKING DOWN ALL THE ZOOM BACKGROUNDS WITH PEOPLE IN THEM. DIRECT ACTION!" Lester, Macalester's unofficial student-operated mascot and "Professor of Puppet Studies," regularly tweets sardonic thoughts in the all-caps text version of his signature Cookie Monster voice. These tweets refer to Macalester-themed Zoom backgrounds the college distributed in early April, some of which had included photographs of students without those students' permission. Those backgrounds were later taken down without comment.
