About

These Class galleries were put together using photos and other materials from the following searchable collections:

  • The Mac Weekly student newspaper (searchable archive of issues 1914-2015)
  • Macalester Today college magazine (searchable archive of issues 1986-present)
  • Theatre and Dance Collection and Timeline (photos and programs 1905-2018)
  • Communications and Marketing materials
  • Macalester College Archives collections
The College Archives is always looking for donations of materials that represent student experiences and perspectives. Have you shared items on social media for Reunion and wish to officially donate them to the Archives? Do you have other photos, documents, posters, etc. from your student days? Find out how to donate them here.

In many cases, we’ve only included the cover or select pages from print publications. Complete issues with PDFs of all pages are available for the publications listed in the bullets above. Please contact the Archives at archives@macalester.edu if you have questions about other materials that appear in this Reunion site.

Tell us your stories and share what you know! Comments can be left on Class gallery pages or pages for individual images. Many of the collections from the College Archives don’t have names or information, so let us know if you recognize someone or have a memory to share. A name and email is required to leave a comment; your name will be publicly shown, but email addresses are only seen by site administrators.

We hope you engage with the materials you see here, but please be mindful that our intent is to be broadly inclusive and we reserve the right to reject items that are not consistent with Macalester’s community standards, which include:

  • Be respectful. We will not post items that are defamatory, obscene, or contain personal attacks or any form of harassment.
  • Participate; don’t dominate. We may limit the number of posts from a single individual in order to make room for a broad mix of community activity and engagement.
  • Have fun. Share your Macalester experiences and memories. Show what is unique about the Macalester community. Together, we can tell an amazing story.

See Macalester’s Social Media Best Practices for more information.
